Job Responsibilities: What you will do

In addition to performing the duties of a Detention Analyst, the Senior Detention Analyst is responsible for leading detention���related initiatives and managing key KNX Logistics accounts to ensure compliance, efficiency, and cost���effectiveness across operations. This role provides end���to���end oversight of detention validation, auditing, billing, and recovery while serving as a key liaison between internal teams, brokers, and external partners

  • Collaborate with sales, pricing and customer accounts to seek out and identify detention related billing opportunities and process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead meetings focused on developing creative solutions.
  • Provide project leadership tracking action items and measuring results to plan.
  • Coach and train team members towards improved performance related to billable detention opportunities.
  • Review customer/driver files, validate detention time taken and ensure drivers are paid appropriately.
  • Request authorization from customer based on contractual agreements or on equipment/driver(s) utilized by customer.
  • Initiate billing process for approved power and trailer detention time. Inform payroll of detention payout amounts for drivers.
  • Provide recommendations to contracts and/or pricing regarding opportunities to increase detention revenue.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to resolve past due detention revenue and assist with collections.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 3+ years professional experience, or 2 years as Detention Analyst required.
  • Transportation industry experience required.
  • Must be able to transfer knowledge to others.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Must be detail-orientated.
  • Must be proficient at reviewing data from multiple sources.
  • Must possess strong analytical abilities.
  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
